At the breakwater in Victoria, BC
Jordan Salokari was raised in beautiful Victoria, BC. He completed his post-secondary education at the Sauder School of Business at UBC. Shortly after completing his education, Jordan made the move to Dawson Creek, BC to work for a small accounting firm and pursue the CPA designation. With a specialization in taxation, Jordan passed the CFE in the fall of 2016 and received his designation in June of 2017.
Looking for a change, Jordan entered the private sector working for the local Co-op in Dawson Creek. During his 5 years at the co-op, Jordan grew in his role as the accountant for the organization. This included managing the administration staff, being a member of the senior leadership team, working with the executive team and liaising with 5 different departments (Grocery store, gas station, petroleum cardlocks, home and building centre and a crop inputs facility), 7 locations across 4 communities. During his final year at the Co-op, Jordan worked on the financials for a proposal to build a state of the art fertilizer blending facility valued at over $5.2 million including securing the financing for the build. He was also promoted to the controller role prior to finishing his time in Dawson Creek.
Recognizing the importance to be closer to family, Jordan moved mack to Victoria in the summer of 2022 and loves being back in the city he grew up in.Â
Jordan has always had a passion and interest in personal taxes from a young age, completing his first tax return at just 15 years old. Because of this passion, he started his small business in 2017 in order to help people enjoy the tax return process as much as he did. Since returning to Victoria, Jordan now shifts his purpose to not only preparing personal tax returns but helping small business make the right decisions with the experience received working in the private sector.
